Interview with Zurdeik
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Well, my EP is is the best thing that I worked on, but it's not out yet. However, I'm very proud of my song "Ya Cambié." (I've Already Changed) The meaning of that song is so deep and real. I wrote that song in a time of crisis in my life, and that's the real reason why started to create songs. I hope that my music can be a safe space for everyone that feels the same way as I do.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on my first EP. Because I'm an independent artist at the moment, I'm doing literally everything on my own. Working on my social media, producing, writing, and composing my own songs are the mayor part of this project.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I love entirety my job, singing, writing, everything!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I don't know, lol.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: First of all, what do you want to convey with this song? I think this is a fundamental question, because music isn't only to make people dance, music is a universal language, and I want to help the client to deliver the exact emotion, feeling, and message that wants to share to the world. Second, how soon do you need this by?
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile. I'm a weird mix of alternative pop/latin/rnb artist.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Mmmh great question. For artists that live in my country, I would like to work with Humbe (a fabulous singer and songwriter) and with Nsqk (an amazing producer and singer), and with international artists, I would like to work with Blackpink, SZA, and Bruno Mars.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have a lot of inspirations, but my top 3 are Blackpink, Humbe, and MIKE DEAN.
