Davincii Productions

Hip - Hop, Pop, RnB Producer

Davincii Productions on SoundBetter

Produced for Fetty Wap, Lisa Mishra, and Cookie Kawaii.

As a producer, my palette blends bold strokes of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and EDM—hard-hitting drums as the bass tones, bright melodic hooks as highlights, and splashes of quirky textures and up-tempo rhythms that invite both movement and melody. Every track I make is painted with energy that makes you want to sing, dance, and feel.

Interview with Davincii Productions

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I worked on my own project called Prism. This project was a FDM project that took me two years to finish. I hand crafted all the sounds and spent a lot of time trying to present a new way to approach EDM / dancehall. My role was, every role!

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am currently working on a FDM project. FDM is Flex Dance Music, which is basically a fusion of EDM and Dancehall with a focus on hard drums and catchy rhythms.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I am new here, so i have to continue to network before i can recommend anyone!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I like analog over digital personally, but I have converted to fully digital. Although nothing will ever truly achieve that harmonic warmth and fullness of analog, digital provides so many creative ways to produce a new sound nowadays.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I always promise to provide quality, in a timely fashion.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love working with people and seeing what their view on music is; it always inspires me.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Can you make it sound like this? The answer is usually yes.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception to me for what I do is that I just make beats. It's not just about making the beat though; there's so many emotions and visions that goes with it. Everything has a purpose.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What are some examples? What are you feeling? How open are you to a different approach?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Just tell me exactly what you want! Provide examples and as much detail as you can. The more specific, the more likely I'll hit the nail on the head the first go around!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: ASUS gaming Laptop, TRIA monitors, LA-320 Microphone, Apollo Twin Interface, Launch-Key Midi Keyboard

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I have been doing this for about 14 years now. I started when i was about 14, on virtual DJ; then converted over to using music DAWS about a few months later.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I would describe my style as a cinematic amalgamation of RnB and EDM.

  28. A: I really want to work with T-Pain, simply because his musical understanding of stacking harmonies and melodies is so satisfying.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Less is more; however do not overthink and be afraid to use that sound you're not sure about.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually work on EDM or RnB Music.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I can recreate any vibe or sound when shown to me.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring colors, fullness, weird and quirky approaches, and a reminder on why it is cool to have ears.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I get the ideas or proposals from the client, I immerse myself in whatever it is they ask me for so I can catch the feeling, then I begin creating until I come up with at least a rough idea.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work primarily off a laptop and monitors in my own room.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: There's so many, but i really enjoy Galamatias, Lido, Hans Zimmer; and many more.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Typically, clients present a beat idea for me to make; I create what they ask for, and we go from there.
