Hi, I’m Kurt! I’ve been producing music for 3 years and working as an audio engineer for 2. I create custom beats, remakes, and polished tracks across many genres, and I love bringing your ideas to life with creativity and care.
I’ve spent the past 3 years producing custom beats and tracks across genres like hip hop, trap, RnB, UK garage, drill, westcoast, and more. Alongside that, I’ve worked as an audio engineer for 2 years, focusing on mixing, mastering, and polishing songs so they sound release-ready.
I’m also an experienced podcast editor, cleaning audio, removing background noise, balancing voices, and adding music or effects to create smooth, professional episodes that are easy and enjoyable to listen to.
Whether you need a unique beat, a polished mix, or podcast episodes edited with care, I’d love to help bring your project to life.
Let’s make something amazing together!

Interview with Kurt Vincent Apoyon
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One project I’m especially proud of is the album I worked on with South Psych. I was one of the main producers, and I feel I contributed the most in shaping the sound, from creating the beats to guiding the overall vibe of the project. It was a big step for me and showed how much I’ve grown as a producer.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Right now I’m focused on finding new clients to collaborate with and bring their projects to life.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I’m still new to SoundBetter, so I don’t personally know anyone here yet, but I’m open to collaborating and building connections with other producers.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, I use FL Studio on my PC because it gives me flexibility, speed, and all the tools I need to create, mix, and edit without limits.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to deliver clean, high-quality work that matches your vision, with good communication and revisions until you’re fully satisfied.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most is turning ideas into real music, there’s nothing better than creating something that connects with people and feels alive.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most customers ask if I can remake a specific beat or track, and my answer is always yes, I can match the vibe while adding a unique touch. They also ask about fast delivery, and I let them know I can work on a quick turnaround without sacrificing quality.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that producing or editing is just pressing buttons, it actually takes creativity, critical listening, and a lot of attention to detail to make something sound professional.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I usually ask about their vision, preferred style or references, and the overall vibe they want so I can shape the project to fit their needs.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know the vibe you’re going for and share clear references, it makes the process smoother and helps me deliver exactly what you’re looking for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If I were stuck on a desert island, just give me my laptop, FL Studio, and Scarlett headphones—I’ll still be cooking up beats no matter where I am, haha.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I first got curious about music production back in 2018 and practiced for a few months. Three years ago, I came back to it with real focus, and since then I’ve been producing nonstop. What pulled me in was how I started hearing all the different layers in music, and I’ve been driven to create ever since.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is energetic and street-driven, inspired by NorCal EBK and Westcoast sounds, blended with trap, drill, and RnB elements.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with Westcoast artists because their raw, energetic style matches the beats I create and inspires my sound.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Trust yo ears over visuals, don’t just mix with your eyes on the meters or waveforms. If it sounds good, it is good.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on styles like EBK, Norcal, Westcoast, Trap, Philly drill, VonOff1700, R&B, Trapsoul, UK garage, and drill, but I’m always open to experimenting with more.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is making audio sound clear and balanced, whether that’s giving a beat more life, mixing a track so it feels polished, or editing a podcast to flow smoothly and keep listeners engaged.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring creativity, clean production, and attention to detail, making sure the song sounds polished, unique, and true to the artist’s vision.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by understanding the client’s vision, then create or edit the track/podcast. After mixing and polishing, I send drafts for feedback and make revisions until everything sounds just right.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from a home studio using FL Studio 25, Adobe Audition, and Descript, with Scarlett headphones and industry-standard plugins to deliver clean, professional results.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by Metro Boomin, Prodby.IIInfinite, BNYX, and Mike Dean for their creativity, versatility, and sound quality.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I produce custom and remake beats, mix and master tracks, and edit podcasts to sound clean, polished, and professional.
