HERATIKS ("Heh-ruh-tiks") are Southwest UK-based DJ/Producer duo, Justin Krause & James Wiggans. Specialising in crafting booty shakin' tech, bass and deep house for the global dance floor. Our debut original track, 'Drop Tha Spot', landed on dt weapons (Data Transmission) with support from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Joris Voorn, AC Slater and more!

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House, Tech House, Bass House, Deep House.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Our debut release 'Drop Tha Spot' was picked up by Data Transmission and signed to their dt weapons imprint. It's been supported by HUGE names around the world from Fatboy Slim to Ritchie Hawtin to AC Slater, Paco Osuna, Denis Cruz and many more! Hit the Traxsource Tech House charts peaking at #22 and has been supported by BBC Introducing. Not bad for a debut. Much more on the way!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: We have a number of our own projects on the go along with a collaboration.

A: Digital Workflow - it's all we've known.

A: Love meeting new people, hearing their journeys and their goals and helping them achieve them.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That dance music is easy to make and can be bashed out in 5 minutes.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be prepared for a banger!

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: HERATIKS has only been going for just about a year (project launched Oct/Nov 2024) but individually we have been working on music for decades solo or in other projects.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Booty Shakin' tech, bass & deep house.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Disclosure. Their music is so good. The production is clean and brilliant.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't work on music in your DAW with a master/limiter turned on.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: We bring quality production and engineering along with creativity inspired from decades of dance, electronic and world music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Clients get in touch to discuss their ideas. We have a zoom call to see if our ideas align with theirs. We discuss payments and royalty splits. We talk about deadlines and prospective labels. Project goes ahead or doesn't.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Macbook pro, Ableton, Midi Keyboard, Adam A7 Monitors, Mackie Monitors, Beyer Dynamic dt990 and dt770 headphones, Focusrite and M-Audio Interfaces.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We offer production and remixing based around the tech, deep and bass house genres.
