Lloyd and his Ukes on SoundBetter

I'm a ukulele specialist with over 70 different ukuleles for unique and beautiful sounds. I've been playing 16 years, and have taught hundreds of people since I took up ukulele. I've studied both practical and academically, mastering many techniques and knowing the ukulele's history inside out.

Hi! I’m Lloyd, a professional ukulele performer, workshop leader and session musician with over 10 years of experience delivering engaging music experiences across the UK — from live gigs to educational and wellbeing-focused sessions.

I specialise in:
- Ukulele recording and arrangement (bright, expressive, layered parts)
- Custom backing tracks and playful session work
- Feel-good acoustic textures for podcasts, ads, community arts and educational use
- Warm, approachable teaching and workshop facilitation

I’ve led hundreds of group sessions for community organisations, schools and events, and I bring that same friendly, inclusive energy into all my remote session work and collaborations.

I've studied the ukulele's history in great depths, and regularly deliver talks on its origins. I have also studied the techniques and tricks, teaching myself to play to an extremely high standard.

My collection of 70-odd ukes means there's a sound for everyone - whether its a 1916 Paul F. Summer Soprano for that typical Hawaiian sound, or a 1940s Banjo Uke for a cheeky Formby number.
