I believe the engineer's role is to be invisible to the fans, allowing the listener to hear past anything technical and get completely lost in the music you've created.

I’m Carl Shelley — a mix engineer based at Signature Studios in North London, known for my work in rap, trap, and drill, but always looking to experiment sonically and bring clarity and punch to any genre.

I’ve been mixing for over five years, and I’m Pro Tools certified, combining technical precision with a deep understanding of what makes a record feel right. I mix for whatever the song needs, whether it’s polishing a raw vocal or reshaping an entire productions aesthetic. I have a tailored approach for each mix.
