I have mixed for Paul Wall, I have mixed Loe Shimmy, and I've worked at the Daily Gems Studio, as well as Heard City. I learned how to engineer at Carnegie Hall. I have worked with Dot Demo, Kaycyy, Mr. Muthaf*cking Excuire, 408Darwin, Lord Sko, and Andre Lawrence.
I grew up as an artist in New York. Through my life, I have had art in the Whitney, and I have played music in Carnegie Hall. I have been mixing for a decade, mostly behind the scenes, but I have decided to put my music out into the world. I have an album I have been working on for 3 years, which I can show upon request. That album is my primary portfolio.

Interview with Sam Levy
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill without a doubt is sound design.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: It depends on the context. For mixing, I try to treat the mix as a separate instrument. I attempt to make my mixes add something, yet be as close as possible to not being noticed. With making music, I try to communicate with ideas more than a specific genre or sound. I like people to feel the thing being made, almost above all else.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I spend a lot of time making songs perfect, often to a fault. I mostly find myself adhering to the idea that artists don't ever finish songs; they just become satisfied. I always think I could add more of something, but the best songs come after I push and pull, adding and removing sounds and ideas.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a couple of very solid mics where I record, but for more substantial projects, I like to find a good place to record, such as a church with nice natural reverb.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired very heavily by Kanye, Milo, Kenny Segal, Photay, and Shlohmo.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Generally speaking, I like to help people make larger productions behind the scenes. I like to coordinate session musicians, recording locations and all of the above to create a final product.
