Dom Dinero on SoundBetter

Hello, My name is Dom Dinero. I have over 10+ years of experience in mixing and mastering artists in genres ranging from pop to hip-hop.

I will deliver a record professionally mixed and/or mastered quickly at an extremely affordable rate. I know what it is like to not want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on mixing and mastering. You created the art and you just need someone to make sure it is polished and that it slaps. That's exactly what I'll do. My goal is to make sure you absolutely love the final product and that it doesn't break the bank. I specialize in hip hop, but I am very versatile with genres. I will not stop until the artist is 100% satisfied with his/her record. Choose me to mix and master your next song.

I am also a songwriter and specialize in hip hop and pop music. Check the song on my page for an example of my work.

Cheers!

Interview with Dom Dinero

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Digital. I believe when mixing and mastering in the box you can really push the boundaries and create unique vibes.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: When we are finished working you will be 100% satisfied with your song. I will make sure it sounds exactly like what you wanted it to when you created it.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: Helping artists see their vision come to fruition.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Be transparent and specific. It goes a long way when trying to get your song to sound exactly how you want it.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I still create music myself but I started mixing and mastering my own music because I could never truly get my records to sound how I wanted when I worked with an engineer. Also, most of the time I didn't have enough money to afford the heavy hitters so I had to learn myself.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: My style is very clean and polished while at the same time not losing any emphasis in the 808's or other elements that make the song hit.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I would like to work with Drake because he is someone that has inspired me since I started making music and engineering. I really enjoy how his records sound and his ability to blend genres.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: I usually work on hip hop and occasionally pop.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: I bring the element of being an artist myself so I have a lot of empathy towards others in this process. I know what it is like to work with engineers who won't listen to your opinion and just end up doing whatever they think sounds good. I am 100% for the artist's vision and I won't stop until you are happy with the final product.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: My typical work process starts with getting to know the artist's vision first. Then I do my best to accomplish exactly what they want out of the song no matter what. I like to use tried and true methods along with some experimentation to make my client's work sound super clean and unique.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: My studio is in an acoustically treated room in my house. I have a pair of KRK Rokit 5's, a MacBook stocked with plugins from Antares, Waves, Izotope, and many more. I also have the UAD Apollo Twin interface that I run my monitors and Neuman microphone through.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: My biggest inspirations are Drake, Kanye West, Travis Scott, Mike Dean, and 40.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: The most common type of work I do is mixing and mastering. I especially enjoy working with hip hop artists and mixing vocals.
