Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One of the projects I’m most proud of is a music production where I was able to take the artist’s original recordings and refine the vocals, balance the production, improve clarity and depth, and create a polished final mix. What made the project rewarding was hearing the song develop from a rough recording into a cohesive, release-ready track while preserving the artist’s original vision.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m currently focused on mixing, mastering, vocal editing, and production projects for independent artists. I’m especially interested in working on contemporary records where strong vocals and a polished, modern sound are important.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I’m still building my professional network on SoundBetter, so I prefer to recommend people based on their work and suitability for a specific project rather than making recommendations without firsthand experience.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. It gives me precision, flexibility, consistency, and the ability to make detailed adjustments while keeping the creative process efficient. The most important thing, however, is knowing how to use the tools musically.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to treat every song with attention to detail, respect the artist's creative direction, communicate clearly, and deliver a polished result that the artist can feel confident releasing.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy hearing a song transform during the mixing process. Taking a recording that has potential and revealing its clarity, energy, emotion, and character is one of the most rewarding parts of the work.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Clients often ask whether their recording is ready for mixing. My answer is that I can work with most well-organized recordings, and I’ll always let them know if something needs to be corrected or improved before the mixing stage.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: A common misconception is that mixing and mastering are simply about making a song louder. Good audio work is much more than that, it involves balance, dynamics, frequency control, space, emotion, translation, and making sure the production communicates effectively.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I usually ask about the artist's vision, genre, reference tracks, desired sound, current stage of the project, and what they feel is missing from the recording. I also clarify the files provided and the specific services needed before starting.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose someone whose portfolio demonstrates the sound you want. Listen to their samples carefully, communicate your creative direction clearly, and make sure they understand the emotion and purpose behind your song—not just the technical requirements.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A powerful laptop, a reliable audio interface, studio headphones, accurate studio monitors, and a quality microphone. With those essentials, I could record, edit, mix, and produce almost anywhere.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My path has developed through hands-on experience in music production, audio editing, vocal processing, mixing, and mastering. Over time, I’ve focused increasingly on helping independent artists improve the sound and presentation of their music and prepare it for release.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean, modern, detailed, and musical. I aim for mixes that feel polished and powerful while keeping the emotion, character, and identity of the artist intact.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with The Weeknd because of the detail and atmosphere in his productions. His music demonstrates how vocal production, sound design, arrangement, and mixing can work together to create a distinctive world around a song.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Before adding more processing, make sure the arrangement and balance are already working. A great mix usually starts with good levels, thoughtful arrangement, clean recordings, and intentional use of space.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I primarily work on Pop, R&B, Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, and other contemporary music styles. I’m especially interested in productions where strong vocals, rhythm, atmosphere, and modern sonic detail are important.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is mixing. I enjoy taking individual elements and creating a cohesive, balanced record where the vocals are clear, the instruments have space, and the overall production feels powerful without losing its emotion.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, balance, depth, punch, and attention to detail. Most importantly, I focus on enhancing what already makes the song special rather than processing it simply for the sake of processing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by listening to the song and understanding the artist's creative direction. I then clean and organize the session, edit and tune vocals where needed, balance the instruments, shape the dynamics and stereo image, and refine the mix. Finally, I master the track and check the result across different listening environments.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is centered around a reliable digital production workflow with professional DAWs, mixing and mastering plugins, detailed monitoring, and a carefully organized project environment. I focus on accurate processing and critical listening rather than relying on excessive effects.

A: I’m inspired by producers and engineers who know how to make music feel both sonically impressive and emotionally engaging. I particularly admire the attention to detail, vocal clarity, low-end control, and atmosphere found in modern Pop, R&B, Afrobeats, and Hip-Hop productions.
