I go by the name of C-KnowLedge. My passion has always been song writing. I feel like the structure and attention to detail in a lyric is what makes a song stick with you for a lifetime. I make music of my own which is cool but I love to take an idea that someone has and turn it into a lyrical painting that you can visualize through words. I'm a passionate artist that only wants to make music and poetry that can resonate with the world. I'm not in it for the financial gain but I want to be able to attach my name to something that will make a lasting impact. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People believe that songs these days don't have meaning. I'm looking to help change that.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is you vision for the project and how can I help to bring it to life.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please be open and don't be afraid to tell me everything that you would like in order to make your project become every thing you dreamed it to be. I understand how important and delicate creativity is. So I'm patient and willing to work to make it as great as it can be.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A pen. A paper. The biggest source of water I can carry. My phone. Earphones.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path is tree trimming. But I have been writing and recording music since I was 8 years old. I never thought about ghost writing until I was in highschool writing poetry and school project songs for classmates that always loved my song writing.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is conscious hip-hop but really anything with meaning and soul attached to it.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Kendrick Lamar, Eryka Badu, The Roots, Andre 3 stacks, and Jill Scott.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't be afraid to step outside of the box and be experimental with you sound.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on conscious hip-hop or poetry.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing and patience.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Attention to detail. I like to add meaningful and cinematic type of lyrics to a song to help build a good overall direction of the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to hear the idea or story that the song is trying to convey and then build the structure of the song lyrics around it. Normally I like to allow the beat to guide me if it's my song that I'm writing.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Just a simple home studio to record vocal rough drafts with no mixing. If I'm doing a feature I go to my engineer at the amazing "Amusement Park Studio"
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: It's so many to pull from. Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad are artists that inspire me lyrically. But the Alchemist production is what makes me wanna record.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write poetry and hip hop songs for my clients to perform. I really love writing storytelling songs or poetry.

I will do up to 4 revisions. My typical turn around depends on the number of verses and song structure. Can be anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days.
