Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to go the distance. That means, whatever sound you're looking for, I will search far and wide to get that sound. Sometimes it listening to music the artist likes, sometimes it's listening to other genres, and other times it's removing myself from the project for a day or 2 and come back to it. I'm willing to sit with the project until is sounds as close as to what the artist hears in their mind.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: High pass everything! There is low end noise that builds up through your mix. The more processing you add to each track, the more get's added to your mix. So start out by removing anything below 30Hz on all your tracks, including the master fader.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on hip hop. For the last 10 years, I've been working with artists in North and South America to bring them crisp mixes.
