David Key

Full Time Recording Drummer

David Key on SoundBetter

Hello! My name is David Key and I live in Nashville, TN. I've been playing drums for 14 years and recording for about 7 years. I love playing music. my whole goal in recording drums and percussion parts is not playing the coolest or most complex drum part, it's adding that extra bit of "something" or "vibe" to your song. My top priority is the song

One of my favorite things in the world is recording drums for artists. And my specialty is recording remotely, I am professional, hard working, and very dedicated to the music. So if you're not satisfied then I'm not satisfied. I totally understand how hard and how much of a risk it is to give free reign to let a stranger record drums over your song. So, I don't that lightly. All to say, I'm very invested in your music and making it exceed what you think it can go too.

Some of my credits include Corey Voss, Psallos, Lydia Ingegneri, Travis Cottrell, Reagan Barham, Daniel Nunnelee, Chloe Kimes, and many many others.
If you're unfamiliar with any of these artists and if you're what genre I'm most experienced in, these artists and other work I've done incapsulate genre's....CCM, Folk, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Film, Hip Hop, R&B and more. I love it all.

Check out my Instagram to see a TON of examples of my playing. @davidkeymusic

I have plenty of drum options that include, 8 snares, and three full kits plus an extra huge kick drum. I will gladly go into detail of all the drums, microphones, and other gear I use but I know unless your a drummer or engineer, all that information is just noise. Also because with today's technology, the quality is highly dependent on the performance.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.
