I am Chris Hoyt, I have been a musician since 1994 and I play: guitar, drums, bass guitar, keyboards and percussion. I have been recording since about 1997 and thats when the audio addiction began! I studied Electronic Music and Pro Tools production in 2000 @ Ohlone College in Fremont, CA and later studied at CRAS, in Tempe, Arizona in 2003/ 2004.

Sound design, mixing and mastering has been a part of my life since I began in this industry 1998. Over the years, The way we listen to music has changed rapidly and most music is listened to in headphones. I adapted to this and I master 90% in custom IEMs = 100% sound accuracy. Im taking a lot of influence from my days as a Live Music FOH/MON tech
Mixing is crucial to getting that awesome sound. Setting the vocals at the right level, making the bass and drums to sit tight on that groove, finding the right reverb. However great your song is, without the right balance and processing you are not going to get a look in.
