I am a professional music producer and sound engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. I have access to a NEVE VR analogue console (48 channels) in a very good sounding room with high end analogue outboard running on a Pro Tools HDX system with top AD/DA converters.
When mixing records, I provide that ālarger than lifeā feel without losing the real band element. I love big drums (not sound replaced drums) singing in a room with loud guitars. When producing and/or writing I bring melody and emotion out without sounding trite and typical. In my opinion, thereās no formula for radio, just a killer song.
