I've been running a full time studio called InTheMusic Recordings for 1 year now and I've been mixing, mastering on Pro Tools/Logic for about 7 years. I started making music when I was 16 but fell in love with engineering when I was 18. I'm 25 now and I record, mix, master and produce music full time for a living and love the art.
There's a lot of work behind modern productions and the devil is in the detalis. There's also a pitfall in getting everything perfect: you could be as well taking the soul out of your music. So it's a balance between proficiency with audio tools and techniques and being able to understand music on a deep level. I can do exactly that.
