My name is Jay Urban. I’m a multi-genre producer from Vancouver, Canada with more than 8+ years of experience, previously worked with Sony Music, RCA Records, Macklemore, Jason Derulos's crew, Soulja Boy, Rich The Kid and many other major and indie artists. I specialize in creating music in Pop, EDM and R&B genres and would love to help you create!

I am a session player, songwriter and producer for indie, folk, and pop leaning music. I specialize in adding ambient texture and interesting nuance to folk and indie rock tracks with woodwinds, synthesizers and vocals.

I have released 11 albums of original music, 20 EPs, and various singles. I have written the music and lyrics, sung, played piano, harp, guitar, mandolin, synths, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered. It brings me great satisfaction to write and perform music for my own work and that of others including podcasts.

With over 10 years experience as a session musician and MD, sharing main stages with music legends such as Miss Laurin Hill, Nene Cherry, Lianne La Havas and many more, playing festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, recording at music studios such as The Red Bull Studios in London I now own my own Studio from which I offer remote drum recording!
