Hi! I'm Siân Alex, a professional singer, songwriter and lyricist. I have over ten years experience as a songwriter, performer, and session musician, working in a variety of genres both independently and as a collaborator. I am the singer, songwriter and guitarist for the band Gold Baby and for my solo project Siân Alex.

I am a full time musician based in London and I graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2013 with a degree in popular music studies specialising in composition and vocal performance. Since then I have toured extensively with my band and solo project and have played at venues and festivals up and down the UK alongside the likes of The Levellers, Katy B, Jake Bugg, Rae Morris, Anna Calvi and more.

In that time I have also collaborated on a huge variety of projects as a session singer, topliner and lyricist, and performed in function bands in a multitude of genres. I have a versatile voice that is well suited to songs that require a bigger, belted vocal sound - such as rock, soul or pop songs - as well as to a softer vocal performance required for folk, jazz or singer-songwriter styles.

Whether I’m writing, toplining or singing on a track, my first priority is making sure I have a clear understanding of you and your vision for the project. Ideally I would discuss this with you beforehand and where appropriate, we can start the process off by sending demos and ideas back and forth until the part is perfect.

I ask that my professional name is not used on your track, but if you wish to credit me using my real name or an alias I am happy to discuss this.
