I love Dance music. House, Deep House, Tech House etc, etc! I can produce most genres but I'm most known in the Dance/House scene. I've produced and worked with artists like Wiley, Bryson Tiller, Dappy, Kranium, Tory Lanez, Zara Larrson, Dua Lipa, Will Young, Sam Lavery. Most recently I did an official remix of "Wiley - My One" (Sony) and "Will Young - My Love" (Sony), Crazy Cousinz, Julie Bergan etc.
I'm a Producer, Remixer and DJ with over 100K monthly listeners on Spotify, my latest release on Spotify is almost on 1M streams and it reached #3 in the UK Club Chart. I have about 13 years experience in the industry :)

Interview with AJ Moreno
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced a remix for Cooking Vinyl (Sony UK) for Will Young's single 'My Love', so far that's hit 40k+ streams on Spotify.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog warmth, Digital clarity.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to create a track form nothing (usually). I get to play with sounds till I complete a track and it gets heard by...at least 100s of thousands of people. That makes me happy.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook pro (and charger!) Condenser Mic Audio Interface Komplete s49 keyboard Studio Monitors That's the basics I need to make music :D
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A fusion of Dance, House, Latin grooves, 90s Piano house, Modern bassline music.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Calvin Harris, in my opinion, he is one of the best dance producers in the world right now. Super talented guy. Bad Bunny, I love his music, his voice, flow, he is just dope. I'm half South-American/ half Jamaican so I love the Caribbean and Latin sounds, reggaeton, dancehall, Baile Funk.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My sound, a sound I've been developing for over 20 years. I've been producing across a wide range of genres since I was 13. I'm 32 now :) I also have the ability to work with a client and bring the sound/idea that's in their head to our ears.

A: Remixing, Producing, Ghost-producing
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Learn your DAW, make sure you can navigate your DAW like you can the fridge!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House, Dance, Deep House, Tech House
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Making something from nothing. I have a good ear for music and no matter what you give me, I'll find something that I can work with and create something great with it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For a remix, all I usually want is the vocal, then I'll build a track around that. Most of the time, I don't even listen to the original track. For original tracks or ghosting, I can sit down with the artist and we get build a vibe, build a groove, once we have a that, we start stacking up, throw a vocal on top, then we usually cut elements out. I like to make the music really busy, then once a vocal is on it, cut most of it out to make room for the vocal.

A: Ableton Live, Mac, Keybaords, Piano, Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Synths, KRK Rockits, KRK Sub, Ableton Push 2 and a few other bits and pieces...
