My name is Daan van de Pol. A music producer from the Netherlands. The last 10 years I have produced, written & engineered music with artists all over the world. The music was supported by big radio channels like BBC radio 1, Sirius XM, Slam FM & Radio 538.

In 2017 started a project with DnB producer NYMFO (NL) and the project is 'Road Kahan' focussing on the Deep chill & techno music (Think a hybrid between Bonobo & Joris Voorn).

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes that would be Ruud van Schaik AKA RAiK! Amazing vocalist & great producer.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, started that way and still making it sound great.. Don't change a winning system or something right..?
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Quality, great communication and fast delivery.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The response of the client, when they are liking what they hear! I get a lot of adrenaline out of it!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Ableton, Soundcard, headphones & Windfan usb.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Have been starting music production for my band when I was 16yrs old, but after seeing a dj on my 17th started to produce music in Reason. Enjoyed being able to make full songs and was hooked to electronic music production.

A: Sevdaliza, her voice & style is off this world!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Train your ears, and build a steady acoustic room. Use references & take breaks! (Rest your hearing!)

A: Production & Mix.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A fresh pair of trained ears, To bring the song to a higher level.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depending on the project size, try to have a sample ready within 24hrs to have a first taste. A second check-up in the next stage. And a full go on the final version most of the time within 48 hrs
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My main setup has a pair of ADAM monitors, and great acoustics. My reference studio has a Dynaudio setup.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by a lot of music from Bonobo, to Noisia to Joris Voorn.
