Interview with 96kHz.it Mastering Studio
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Ciao, I'm Marco :-) I work mainly for mastering music for any kind of clients, from big major company like Sony, Warner or Universal to indipendences and autoproductions.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, I heard the original mix and also the mix mastered by the producer/mixer engineer used for reference. Than I ask for mix files or stems files. I like using 3 stems as default. When I like my master, I'll upload the file (usually an mp3 320kbps) to the client server account ( we have a customized and high tecnological server for our clients :-) )
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is composed by few of the finest and highly selected analog outboards and a good set of digital plugins. I don't like to use too much outboards or plugins... it's distracting and the risk is loosing the goal of my work: make happy my client and make great their music.
