Interview with ChillPanic

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: C'mon now, aren't we passed this yet
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I actually started on the freelance site "Upwork" around 6 years ago. Found my very first client there, and I was only charging $30 a track back then haha. At the time I was doing only electronic music. From there I began working on cinematic scores (hence the name), and worked for the YouTuber, Evan Carmichael for a year or so. After the cinematic era I made trap beats and lofi hip hop for a few years, while releasing my own music under the name "ChillPanic". Eventually I found my way back to electronic music, and this site. So that's where I am now. Working on Melodic Bass and Pop music, and I don't see veering from this path anytime soon.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If it sounds good it is good. Learn the rules thoroughly, and then break them as often as you can.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Probably melody. I've been listening to Melodic Dubstep since it's golden days, so I've studied the hell out of artists like Seven Lions, Illenium and Crywolf
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For new clients I always do a 72 hour trial run, before they accept a proposal. That way they can see what I can do for them without having to risk any money. After they've heard a rough draft, if they desire to continue, I deliver the full product a week from the day I sent the rough draft.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm a huge fan of Seven Lions and Savant
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly get hired for Pop and Melodic Bass music.
