Two singers means more creativity and more options! Backing vocals, lead vocals, songwriting, harmonising and much more. Collaborating in a multitude of genres, working with people from around the world, creating different sounds, is what we do. - We've recorded at RAK Studios, BBC Radio1 Studios and at the Gorillaz studio (Studio13).
We are Athena & Rosie and have been working together for over 4 years performing music of many varied genres, making us versatile singers with a great ear for harmonies, whose voices blend beautifully together. We are both equipped with a Bachelor's (Hons) Degree in Creative Musicianship specialising in Vocals.
We have worked with many musicians some including: Benjamin Clementine, Flo Morrissey (Flo Clementine), Olivia Nelson, Jacqui Dankworth.
- Rosie is also a grade 7 trumpet player and has played with the Northamptonshire County Youth Big Band. (usually playing part 3 and 2 in trumpet horn)
- Athena is also fluent in Greek & Greek Cypriot
Both of us can copy accents and languages with quite some ease, having sung in Greek and previously Portuguese. We're not afraid to get a lil' tongue tied!

Two of the most versatile and talented vocalists I have come across in my experience as a producer and performer. Innate spontaneity and an incredible ear are the keys to their professionalism. In regard to top-lines and lead singing, their wide listening catalogue and experience in performing several different styles will assure unique vocal melodies. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Vocally we are influenced by Jazz and Blues singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Ray Charles, taking inspiration from their vocal tone and flexibility. We listen to every genre of music and draw big creativity from bands and musicians like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Erykah Badu and D'angelo among so many others, they have influenced our vocal style and phrasing. Musicians like James Blake, King Krule and Kadhja Bonet are a big influence in many ways especially production wise as they all have such a big role to play in their own production and are so experimental with it.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We have recorded for many artists some of which were previously stated. We've done studio recordings live recordings and have also recorded to tape. We usually perform backing vocals for musicians in live settings; We've played at festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival, We Love Green Festival, Pohoda Festival, Edinburgh International Festival and Out of the Woods Festival among many others, and we've played at numerous venues around London including the O2 Academy Islington, Camden Assembly, Ronnie Scotts, Total Refreshment Centre and many more.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Come with a clear idea and direction. Communicate exactly what it is that you want. Never hesitate to ask a question or to give constructive criticism.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: We'd like to think we bring a touch of warmth to any track. Our voices have quite a low timbre, though we can alter our voices to match the singer, or style of song. We are both very creative with melodies and harmonies and can come up with catchy hooks, solid BV parts or some nice vocal pads.
