Endorse InskoInterview with Insko
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: "Big World". This song was fully produced, mixed & mastered by me and it was the most fun I've ever had working on a song. It's my best work.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Lots of new "Insko" music!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to make a professional-sounding song/mix.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's fun! I love being creative and being able to take nothing and make it into something is amazing to me.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure I'm right for you. Don't be afraid to contact me with your idea or demo. I'm more than happy to work with you to make your song/mix exactly how you envisioned it.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I would love to one day produce music for a living, but as of now, I don't have a full-time job. I'm been making music for 5 years now, and I'm still always learning new things!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic Dance Music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say mixing. My ears are tuned well to music, I notice small and obvious things that are wrong with a mix.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A professional sound. All my music is produced to perfection. I would never release a song of my own at an unprofessional grade, same goes for my client's songs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I normally start by finding a song similar style to the one I'm going to create. I'll then listen closely to the structure and choice of sounds, and be inspired by it. From there I'll begin working on the song, try out a few ideas, and pick the best one to finish. This process normally takes me 1-2 weeks to complete.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a bedroom studio... but don't let that discourage you! I mostly work in headphones, DT 770 Pro's to be exact. The DAW I work in is FL studio and I have professional third-party plugins.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Illenium is a great music producer. He produces Future Bass-styled music which I produce on my own music projects.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Ghost production. Fully produce a professional-sounding song for my client.
