Interview with Alex Vickery

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Condenser mic, Midi keyboard, Studio Headphones, iPhone
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started my music journey in the classical world - I'm a classical violinist ( I taught for a few years) and pianist with a bachelor degree majoring in Popular Music. That knowledge of classical music theory helps me every single day in the studio. I moved from Australia to Los Angeles in 2015 when I signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony Music and have been working as a singer, songwriter and vocal producer ever since.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Right now I am working heavily on the music for Empire on FOX's final season, plus several projects for major label artists from Republic, Def Jam, RCA, Columbia and more.
