With diverse credits including Dave Matthews Band, My Chemical Romance, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Gary Clark Jr., I help artists craft authentic, polished, and powerful tracks through expert mixing, production, and collaboration.
I’m an audio engineer, producer, mixer, and accomplished session drummer passionate about helping artists bring their music to life. I’ve worked across a wide range of genres — from pop and rock to R&B and indie — and I love collaborating with musicians to create tracks that feel authentic, dynamic, and powerful. My time working in large-scale recording studios, along with my experience at companies such as Warner Bros., Slate Digital, and Manley Laboratories, makes me uniquely qualified to blend an analog sound with modern digital production.
My professional home studio is equipped with everything needed to deliver high-quality remote recordings quickly. In addition to drums, I have access to a baby grand piano, a variety of electric and acoustic guitars, and a range of bass guitars — all of which can be recorded, tracked, and delivered fast. Whether you need tight drum grooves, expressive piano parts, or layered guitar and bass textures, I’ve got you covered.
Beyond instrumentation, I specialize in mixing, vocal production, and full-scale music production, combining technical precision with creative artistry to make sure your tracks sound polished and competitive. Using industry-standard tools like Pro Tools, UAD, Waves, and more, I ensure your music translates beautifully across every platform.
Let’s make something amazing together.

Interview with Tom Rasulo
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'll just let this answer from Chorus.fm's interview of guardin answer that for me: Chorus.fm: "I understand you’ve partnered with legendary musicians like Ray Toro of My Chemical Romance. What was it like collaborating with Ray and others in the scene?" guardin: "Working with Ray Toro was an incredible experience. We met back in 2019 through a studio session with our mutual friend Tom Rasulo (Patchwork_) and worked on a few ideas together there. Being able to see how both of those dudes approach the creative process & how they bring things together was really insightful. Going from a laptop and a microphone set-up in my bedroom to a full blown studio is usually very intimidating, but that session was anything but that & the energy in that room was beautiful."
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Lots of mixes, session drumming gigs, and producing artists. Oh, also I am leaving for a 1 1/2 long European tour with my band at the end of this year!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, because you gotta adapt, but also respect where we came from.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to make you a priority, and to ALWAYS be honest and upfront with you.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Getting to meet tons of different creative people, and helping them get the ideas in their head out into the world. My favorite thing to hear is when a client says, "YES. This is exactly what I was going for, but couldn't explain it."
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Too many to list here!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: You usually get what you pay for. If someone is offering a mix for $20, it's going to sound like a $20 mix.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, my Fender Stratocaster, a vocal mic, my UAD Apollo interfaces, and a coffee maker (gotta have coffee).
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I got hired by Rob Cavallo and Warner Bros. Records when I was 21, and have been at it ever since!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Analog mentality, but with modern production.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Anyone who is a good person to be around. That's way more important than any talent level.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It's music. It's supposed to be fun. Make sessions a good time for the artist!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I've honestly worked on so many different genres, that it gets hard to say what is normal. But, I tend to find myself in the Rock and R&B space a lot.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Making my artists feel comfortable in the studio is big for me. The better the artist feels, the better the takes will be, which makes everyone's life easier!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The quality and speed of a major label production, but with none of the stress.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to meet my artists first and have them come see the studio. I want to know a lot about where they come from, what music they like, what movies they like, etc...Before we even start working on music, we should feel comfortable with one another! Past that, when the recording starts, I usually handle everything from playing/recording/setting up mics/etc... and let the artist chill and focus on the music.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio was built in a separate unit behind my home, and is big enough to get any sound you could want, but small enough to feel like an intimate place to write/record music. Think of it like your best friend has a major label recording studio in their living room.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: While I appreciate music from many genres, if I had to choose one specific individual, I would say Trent Reznor. I admire him as both a musician and a producer.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I function as a one-stop shop for most of my clients, guiding them from initial song ideas to finished tracks. I assist with songwriting, play all instruments, handle all recording, ensure pristine vocal recordings, and provide mixing/mastering services.
