Stone Panunzio on SoundBetter

LA Artist, Guitarist, and Producer. From the sickest riffs, to the most offensive 808's, I'm your man.

I am a Berklee (Class of 2019) graduate with hundreds of shows, sessions, and events behind me. I operate out of my home studio in LA, where I am equipped with an arsenal of gear (much to my neighbors, and loved ones, chagrin). I came to LA with my band Lithic (@lithicofficial) in tow, and we have had a great time getting to entertain LA thus far.

Given my session and event background I am a flexible and dynamic performer.
I encourage you to send me references you would want me to emulate (tone, performance, attitude, etc).

I am a chameleon when it comes to styles, and have spent the last 18 years sharpening my chops.

My preferred DAW is Logic Pro X.

I can record acoustic and/ or electric guitar.

My gear highlights include
(Electric)
-Fender Custom Shop 57 Stratocaster
-1977 Gibson Les Paul Custom
(Acoustic)
-1973 Guild D-44 M
(Amplification)
- Morgan MVP 23
- Vox Ac-15
- Blackstar HT-100 Head
- DI Apollo Plugins, if necessary.
(Mic's)
-Shure Sm-7b
-Sennheiser e935

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Stone Panunzio is one of the most talented, personable, and professional musicians I’ve had the pleasure of working with. As a frontman, he brings the energy and enthusiasm needed to engage a crowd, and as an accompanist he always plays exactly what will support the music. Stone is punctual, professional, and an incredible musician with an infectiously positive attitude. Highly recommended.

A class act. His talent is so raw and yet so refined through his years of training. You can hear the passion he has in everything he plays. Besides being a musical icon he is extremely kind and very easy and inspiring to work with. Could not recommend more.

Stone Panunzio is a very innovative and passionate guitar player. He’s just one of those guys who always has a guitar strapped on, looking for that next idea. He is always able to offer a unique voice in his playing and whenever he takes a solo, it is unmistakably him. He’s a great rhythm player as well, he’s always very respectful of other musicians and does a great job of holding the fort down while other people are taking the lead. When it’s time for him to take the lead though, he shines brightly, offering deep emotions under the veil of some serious shredding.

There are few others I know who are as dedicated to their craft as this man is: his talent for music is overshadowed only by how hard he works. When he jumps into something, he dives headfirst and won’t come out til he’s touched the bottom (I’ve seen him do it with everything ranging from learning shredding solos to photography and tackling dense books). He also has an infectious personality that vivifies all he touches, from his music to those around him. For the past few years I’ve been one of those fortunate people, and I can say wholeheartedly, without a shred of doubt, he’s worth knowing.

Stone spends most of his day thinking about, playing, or discussing guitars. This man lives and breathes music. In addition to is obvious addiction to the instrument, he possesses a serious talent for it. He is a hard worker, a dedicated musician, and an exceptional human. As an accompanist, he knows when to let the vocalist shine and when to step into the spotlight himself. He always serves the song first and foremost. Stone is the first person I call when I need a guitarist regardless of genre, venue, time commitment, etc. Be warned, however, that he may subject you to pictures of his cat.

The only thing that tops Stone’s fiery guitar playing is his infectious personality. He’s hands down one of the top guitarists and overall musicians I have ever worked with and is also one of the nicest, funniest, quirkiest people I’ve ever met. No one can transition from hard rock, to delta blues, to pop, to bossa nova, and everything in between like Stone Panunzio. Total legend right here!!

Stone is not just the most skilled guitarist I have worked with, he is the most adaptable. I recall in our college days he would spend months on end just practicing bluegrass, or blues, or shredding, or getting a tight at rhythm guitar, and I, as someone who is garbage at practicing, would say "Why are you spending so much time on bluegrass. You don't even like bluegrass?" and he would say "I just wanna be super good at all of it," and after years of practicing, and being in his own rock band, I am impressed to see that he has not only maintained his skills, but developed great versatility.
