Max Prior on SoundBetter

Max is a London based Mixer / Engineer / Producer who enjoys working on productions that are HiFi, LoFi and everything in between.

Max started out as a guitarist in bands before becoming an in-house engineer at Konk Studios in North London, where he spent the first couple of years of his career. In 2016 he left Konk to begin working for producer/mixer Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, The Horrors, Baxter Dury), as his full-time engineer.
As of late 2019, Max is a freelance engineer/mixer and doing his own thing.

Having worked in plenty of studios in both the UK and abroad, Max is now based in his own mix/overdub room in West London, but always happy to travel.

Max has a hybrid mix setup that includes Pro Tools, UAD, a Studer 269 Console, ATC SCM25A's, various outboard FX including a Roland Space Echo, Lexicon Super Prime Time, Solton ECA 2000 and a heap of guitar pedals.

Some of Max's most recent mix projects include albums by The KVB, Idles and Valkø.
