Rich Uncle Records, under the musical & technical direction of Josh Wiener is a boutique recording studio & production house located on the west side of Los Angeles, CA. Josh Wiener specializes in audio engineering, production, composition, songwriting, and instrumental performance (guitar, bass, drums, keys, saxophone). Josh has composed & performed music for feature films, television shows on Showtime, BBC, & Netflix, and is a member of the Los Angeles based world-funk band The Bombillas.

  1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  2. A: Vision & ear for the completed track, and a keen sense of melody

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: Write the song, track rhythm section first (bass & drums), overdub keys, guitar, vocals, etc, then mix over 3-4 short sessions with reference listening at home & car speakers in between.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: Analog (tape) / Digital Hybrid. Mixing/control room, and a large live room. Suitable for full band live recording.
