Another awesome round of great teamwork with Brian. He really has the knack to easily slide into the songs and and deliver home run after home run. Go Dodgers~!

Brian has a “can-do” approach to the music. He listens to ideas, and is very thoughtful. His mixes are always professional sounding. I highly recommend his work. Brian stands out because he has a consistently positive attitude. He is exactly the type of person you want working with you on your original music.

Three words : above and beyond
Brian really knows how to dig deep into the root of a song and nurture it over time to bring out the fruit on the vine. He's got the touch of a seasoned pro; yet the heart of a kid who's just discovering a world of musical magic. In other words...he's fun to work with AND he makes everything sound great! Easily 5 stars. - check_circleVerified
Brian is great to work with; he’s awesome at getting a really nice vocal sound that encapsulates the essence of the record; is passionate about team work and wants to get it spot on; revisions are really fast - and when my mastering engineer suggested we tweak something in the mix after the project was over, Brian turned it around at the speed of light and communicated directly with him to produce the final result - his geniality is super lovely.

Brian is great, this guy can MIX! He's super responsive, takes feedback and makes changes fast. He has great ears and puts together a stellar mix with minimal revisions needed. He's truly a PRO engineer... more importantly he is a sincere person, and just all around pleasure to work with.

Absolutely excellent work. I'm very pleased with Brian's attention to details and his open approach to tweaks, notes and general musical direction.

Not only is Brian a great man behind the boards, but he is really easy and nice to work with. Communication is seamless and I appreciate how he is able to tune into the wavelengths that I'm riding and he's also very receptive and responsive to any notes or tweaks that may surface within the process. Thanks!

My project doesn’t quite fit into a nice little “genre box” and finding a mix engineer over the years that can roll with everything I throw at them has been excruciating. Full of disappointments and compromises. Enter Brian. Thank effing Christ for Brian. Haha He couldn’t be friendlier, easier to work with and his mixes speak for themselves. Finding the right person to shape your art is difficult and takes some trial and error. But I’m happy to report FINALLY I’ve found the right engineer.

Another bang up job. Brian really focuses in on the vibe and has managed to nail the big sounds and help glue the fabric of the tune together to make it elevated into a whole new thing. Thank you!

Simply amazing. Brian really managed to pull the essence of the song into the spotlight with a subtle touch and helping the core of the tune to blossom effortlessly.

Great guy and great mix. Brian is a lovely and approachable guy and had an appreciation for the music I made and the emotions conveyed which I greatly appreciated. He also produced a very good mix and delivered it very quickly, I think within three days and then worked updates within a day. Can recommend him!
Considering the artists Brian worked with, it's clear that he's a top professional. Above that, he's polite and down to earth. It's obvious that he not just has a lot of experience and mixing skills, but he draws from valuable musicality, listens with open ears and mixes fast as hell!

Brian is such a pleasure to work with on creative projects. So professional, so talented and decades of experience at the top of the game. Great guy and always a great experience!
My tracks never sounded the way they should until Brian got a hold of them. Now they sound like what's in my head. Everything goes through the "Schoobie Filter"
Brian is the man! Great tones, depth and detailed mixes, always rock solid.
Interview with brian scheuble
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Too many to mention. I tend to enjoy the majority of the projects I mix or record. I'm almost always the mixer but I do record as well when asked. For me it's a good time being in the studio with the artist & musicians.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A mix for Satori Zoom (rap) and mixing a album for the singer of Lord Tracy. Also a few other singer songwriters projects in process. And one song to mix in Atmos.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: It takes little time to mix or that the plugins do the work. I put time into a songs mix. . I try and lose myself in the song where time just flies by.. I live with the mix for as long as it takes to get it to the right place. Some songs come faster than others but I never try and hurry the process.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I like to understand how they hear the song, and what examples they might have. Do they have a particular way they want to work or be involved in the mix. And is there a due date for the mix.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Indie artists. Communication is more direct with the independent artist. Usually no label or manager involved so I'm working directly with the artist or producer. And if necessary we are free to experiment if needed.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm strong on all skills of mixing. Loads of experience & tools to tackle any issues that come my way. Also I have a very patient approach in making the mix right for the artist & communicating w artist.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, lots of musicians here I know.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How many updates can I do to the mix? I usually don't have a limit as long as the song is getting better. If it's turning into a lot of time consuming updates we might need to talk about a charge or hourly fee for the updates from that point on.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer, speakers, interface & a mic. Number 5 would be atmos!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm "in the box" mostly, if I need to go thru a console I can do that. It's up to the project & the budget. The recall in the box is instant, off the console takes longer and could be a extra charge if decided. I've incorporated Atmos / Immersive mixing recently which I'm loving. Client can send stems or full song to mix in atmos.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Tchad Blake Andy Wallace Bill Botrell Bob Clearmountain & many many drummers & artists.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I want them happy with the mix. Never having to make an excuse for the mix when playing it to friends or family.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Feedback from client after hearing the first mix, then updating if necessary so artist is happy.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Ask as many questions as you need to see if we are the right fit.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try not to overthink. Collaborating is important.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I'm working on all kinds: Rock, pop, country, rap, TV and soundtrack music. Mixing more and more in Atmos.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Experience, sonic's, ear candy & vibe. All depending on the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The song & client lead me to where I need to take the mix. I like to have a strong basic foundation to support the vocals in most songs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both are great!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Since 1981
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Old school modern.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mix songs & movies. Lately mixing Atmos/Immersive audio which I'm really enjoying.
