Interview with Syskey Mastering
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I working on some tracks for me, and I take my time to work my mastering service.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I think the use of digital plugins and analog hardware can complement each other, my dream would be to work in addition to analog hardware, to have limiters and compressors to start with.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: what I like the most, already is doing this job what I love, then contact with people, help them or give advice. The most rewarding too is to arrive at a result which satisfies the customers, to succeed to improve a production is very satisfactory.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I often ask my client to send me the track before to give advice, if for example there are problems mixing before starting to work on the mixing and mastering, to allow my client are the best possible result.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: It is now 10 years since I started the music, being otoditact I made myself alone. I have made several projects over the years. Projects under my name of artist, collaborations or other secondary projects, while professionalising me in the mixing and the mastering.
