Excellent collaborator, beautiful voice, professional attitude towards work. In short: a vocal jack pot!

I collaborated with Amber Elise on a few projects. She accepts direction well, is time efficient and talented. I found her easy to work with and highly recommend her for your next project.

Interview with ambernula

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: I most often work on Pop fusions, especially blends with EDM/Electronic and Indie. I've also dabbled in Jazz, R&B, LoFi, and punk. I've also done some lullabies!

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: I like to bring an elegant but emotive twist to music. My voice is quite different from other artists, so I'm usually brought in to bring a unique style to a project. I know my voice and style deeply!

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: I'm most often commissioned to write lyrics and sing for producers' original music. I also record covers on a regular basis. Either way, I'm regularly trusted to bring an creative spark to a song.

  7. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  8. A: Power source(s), my MacBook Air, microphone, interface and headphones.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: ... Singing, of course!

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I use a Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio 2nd Gen (Scarlett CM25 microphone, Scarlett Solo interface), and mix with Samson SR850 reference headphones. My DAW is Logic Pro X, and I use a variety of plugins including Melodyne and Waves Vocal Rider to achieve a perfect dry mix. For creating tracks, I use an Akai MPK Mini and/or a Bork B2 digital piano.

  13. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  14. A: Music is the most wonderful creative outlet.

  15. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  16. A: Can I sing in a certain style? - Yes, I'm always practising vocal techniques. Will I provide HQ recordings? - Of course! Quality is my priority. Can I send a sample before purchasing? - Yes. I can send a 10 second sample, both with your track and without, so you can decide if my voice is right for your song.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I like to get a good description of the project you're working on, so that I can nail your vision as soon as possible. What sound do you want? Do you have any references? Vocal direction is important! I also require a track to record over, but it doesn't matter if it's still a work-in-progress or a draft. And just as important - do you have a deadline?

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: My style is peaceful and dreamy, feel-good but epic, and sweet.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: I found great inspiration from Adele and Billie Eilish/Finneas for my vocal style.
