I met Juliette a year ago in a very informal sound seminar where she performed a song that truly impressed me - and even moved me a little, I confess...
This day, when she eventually sat behind the piano and start singing, everybody in the Studio Maracadet's control room went silent : that song was so simple, so elegant, her performance so genuine, fragile, human... I guess, we were all blown away in the most delicious way.

So I called her back for some more sessions and I discovered a truly nice woman, a real professionnal and a very talended artist to whom I wish the very best. :)

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What emotion do you want the song to convey? Where is your vocal range placed so I can craft the song best to your needs (if sang by the artist)? What other songs do you relate to?
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating strong melodies and chorus hooks. Getting in 'character' like an actor when writing for other artists, to ensure the song works well in their world.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Many! As a songwriter there should be no limits cause all genres have ingredients that you can learn from to become a better writer - a process that is never finished. I do have a personal preference for songs with cinematic orchestration.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will give my best to co-create some serious magic and make you a very happy client!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Hire me, you won't regret it!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Haha provided there is water, food and shelter too I'll go with: computer+DAW, mic, keyboard, guitar, jacks.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Magic, mystery, quite some emotional epic urgency.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start off screens at my piano to find melodies and lyrics in flow. Once captured, I start crafting it in my DAW into a finished demo.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have 2 high quality microphones (static and dynamic), I work in Logic Pro X and have my rich sounding go to plug-ins that I love.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write pop songs with strong melodies and provide emotional, sensual or cinematic vocals.
