Endorse Giuseppe Colonna (KØLE)Hey guys, I really wanna say thank you to kole for his amazing mixing and mastering skills. He has a unique ear for the sound and to make it actually better and when he’s done mixing and mastering, it takes the audio to another level which is amazing. I am so shocked about how often he mixes the tracks and then every time it gets better and better so I want to say if you’re looking for quality mixing and mastering higher Kole he definitely has the skills and I take all of my records to him and then I submit them to the labels so he has an industry sound mixing and mastering and per production.
Solid producer and even more better sound engineer. I have worked multiple tracks with him and his sound is different and unique. He’s also a down to earth kind of guy who really enjoys making the best quality of music rather than just focusing on the money side. He’s passionate about music and you can tell by the way he takes care of his works. He definitely would make your work 10 times better than you can imagine. I really do recommend him.
We've been friends for many years now and he's like a brother to me. Thanks to him I was able to learn many things I didn't know before and being self-taught he helped me a lot. I can assure you that he always puts his soul into whatever work he has to do. If you want quality and seriousness you must contact him absolutely!
Interview with Giuseppe Colonna (KØLE)
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One project I’m especially proud of, though I can’t share details due to confidentiality agreements, was producing a track that was sold to a Top 10 global artist in 2022. My role was producer
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment, I’m mostly working on mixing and mastering projects, as well as my own productions. I also produce tracks written by songwriters and ghostwriters that are later pitched or sold to major artists.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I focus on delivering the best results for my clients, and while I know talented professionals in the industry, I usually recommend collaborators on a case-by-case basis depending on the project’s specific needs. I’m happy to connect clients with trusted producers, mixers, or vocalists when appropriate
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I use both analog and digital tools because each has its strengths. Analog gear adds warmth, character, and a natural feel to sounds, while digital tools provide precision, flexibility, and speed. Combining both allows me to create polished, modern tracks with professional depth and clarity
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to deliver professional, and release-ready tracks that match your vision, with clear communication, timely delivery, and agreed publishing/royalties for exclusive projects.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most about my job is being able to do what I love every day. Many artists chase fame and wealth, but the real reward is being able to make a living doing what you love and helping others bring their vision to life
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Customers often ask how long a project will take, how revisions work, what they need to provide, or if I can make their track sound like a reference artist. I explain that timelines depend on the type of service (mix & master or full production). I usually include up to 2/3 revisions, and I emphasize that high-quality stems and clear references are essential to achieve the best results
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: One of the biggest misconceptions is that mixing and mastering can fix poor recordings. Many think it’s magic sometimes clients want a vocal to sound like Chris Brown but recorded it on their phone! High-quality recordings and proper preparation are essential for a polished, release-ready track
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask clients about their vision for the track, the genre and style, and any reference songs. I clarify what type of service they need (full production, mix & master, vocals-only, or mastering). I also ask how many stems are provided, the quality of the recordings, and any specific elements they want highlighted
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Take the time to clearly explain your vision and provide reference tracks if possible. Be specific about what you need (full production, mix & master, or just vocals). One tip I always give: mix & master aren’t magic. If stems are recorded poorly, it’s impossible to fix everything, so ensure high-quality recordings. Open communication and clear expectations help achieve the best results
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If I were on a desert island, I’d take: My DAW A high-quality audio interface (My Apollo) Studio monitors/Headphones A versatile microphone A MIDI controller With these, I could produce, mix, and master tracks anywhere
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been producing, mixing, and mastering music professionally for several years. I started exploring different genres early, 17 years ago.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is versatile and modern I focus on creating polished, competitive tracks with strong melodies, clear arrangements, and professional mix & master, tailored to each artist’s vision.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with artists like Chris Brown, Dua Lipa, or Calvin Harris because they push creative boundaries in Pop, RnB, and Electronic music. Collaborating with such artists would allow me to bring my production, mixing, and mastering skills to projects that reach a wide audience and make an impact in the music industry.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always start your mix with proper gain staging and clean organization of your stems. It saves time, ensures clarity, and makes your track sound professional from the first layer to the final master.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work across a wide range of genres, with the majority of my experience in Pop, RnB, and Electronic music. I’ve produced, mixed, and mastered tracks in many styles, delivering professional, market-ready songs tailored to each client’s vision
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is versatility: I have produced, mixed, and mastered tracks across a wide variety of genres, making each one polished, professional, and competitive in the current music market
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring professional quality and creativity to every song, transforming ideas into release-ready tracks. From custom production to full mix & master, including vocal balance and arrangement, I ensure each track sounds unique, powerful, and ready for streaming, radio, or club play.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: “My typical work process starts with discussing the client’s vision and ideas. For mixing & mastering projects, I clarify exactly what the client wants, including the number of stems and style references. I generally provide full mix & master, vocals-only mix & master, or mastering only. For production projects, the same applies: I discuss the client’s ideas and reference tracks to deliver custom production. Revisions are included to refine the track. Once approved, I deliver a polished, release-ready mix & master. For exclusive tracks or remixes, publishing and royalties are agreed before delivery
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a professionally treated studio with industry-standard DAWs, high-quality audio interfaces like UAD, monitors (Adam), and microphones. My setup allows me to handle full music production, mixing & mastering, and vocal mixing, ensuring polished, release-ready tracks for every client.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by top Pop, EDM, and RnB producers and artists who push creative boundaries. I take inspiration from their approach to arrangement, sound design, and vocal production to craft polished, unique tracks for my clients.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I primarily produce and arrange tracks for every genre (Pop, EDM, RnB,Etc) I provide professional mixing & mastering, either full mixes (instrumentals + vocals) or vocals-only, delivering polished, release-ready songs tailored to each client’s vision.
