I had a great experience working with Bram. The communication was very fast and precise, he exactly know what to do, to push my track to the next level, also I got a detailed explanation of the adjustments he made. Overall he not only met my expectations but even exceeded them, I am very satisfied with the result and look forward to work with him again.

First and foremost I have to point out how quick, concise, and helpful Bram was! I have worked with many mastering engineers over the last 10 years and have never had someone communicate as quickly and be as helpful as Bram was. It was honestly a great experience working with him and I will absolutely work with him again moving forward

Bram was very easy to work with. He understood the brief and delivered a professional product quickly and in a professional manner. He took on board the notes from version V1 and nailed the master to exactly how I wanted it by V2. I fully recommend using him.

Interview with Bram Fidder

  1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  2. A: With over 10 years of professional experience I exactly know what it takes to get a top-level song across the finish line. There's technical knowledge and then there's reality. This Mix Is Sick combines the highest level of knowledge, technical skills, and mastering force with professional knowledge of the industry, labels and (arguably the most important) the dancefloor.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: The studio setup is based on a custom Zaor 24 Maestro desk. On the conversion side it's all ran by Prism. What's most important after is the monitoring, that's a set of PMC 6-2 mastering speakers, revealing the deepest level of detail required for top notch mastering results. Outboard gear wise it's the SSL Fusion, a Bettermaker SPE, the Bettermaker MEQ, loudness beast Bettermaker ML, mighty WesAudio ngBusComp and the SPL Gemini doing their best into getting all projects across the finish line. This is an absolute lethal chain specifically gathered for mastering EDM.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: This Mix Is Sick is a dedicated EDM mastering studio. This means I only handle mastering for tracks that are mixed and place-able under a genre within EDM. This goes from dark tech-house to commercial level radio dance. Every master gets pushed through top-tier level analog outboard gear, ensuring the absolute highest possible quality level for you.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Having that go-to mastering service for you to go ahead and achieve consistent and fast output at a top-tier level quality.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I work mostly on all EDM genres, so that's either way House, Tech-House, Deep House, Slap House, Big Room, Techno or even all Electronic Pop genres. When it needs to sound tight, loud and commercial, you’re at the right place.

  11. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  12. A: There's a million ways to achieve a great sounding mix or master, knowing what to do, what not to do and which way to pick in order to provide the best sounding song possible is the essence of what we do.

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: Loud, punchy, wide and powerful. Make it sound sick, every time.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Make the song interesting and give every element it's own place, the track should ideally be a sonic unity in which all elements work together. Then lastly (if you have any difficulties with getting your tracks to sound profesional and radio ready) find yourself a great, affordable mix and / or mastering engineer so you can go fast and shoot for the stars, in the end having a great team can make all the difference needed to get to the next level.

  17. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  18. A: To make it sound sick and ready for the world to get heard.
