Wow! Yuika’s songwriting and vocal abilities are incredible. The vibe and atmosphere I had aimed for was captured perfectly and I’m so happy with the result. A pleasure to work with!
Yuika is extremely professional . She knows how to manage many issues related to the production of music. Communication also was fast and easy. Thank you Yuika
Great voice! Yuika really knows how to nail the sound you're looking for. A true professional! Highly recommend her.
I worked with yuika on one of compositions with my band pyjaen. She wrote lyrics (in Japanese!) and sung all the vocals. She absolutely nailed it! Got completely the right vibe and sounds fantastic. Super easy to work with and got things done in a timely fashion.
Yuika provided vocals for my music on the 'Scope' mouthwash advert. She sung, rapped, and wrote lyrics that fit the brief perfectly, in a style she doesn't usually sing in her own music - the mark of a great session vocalist. Her vocals won the pitch and since then the advert has garnered millions of views on youtube. The internet comments on the advert beg to know the name of the singer so they can hear more!
She also sung for the jazz group Pyjaen on their song 'anime', with japanese lyrics and in anime music style. I did mixing on the project, and her vocals were easy to work with!
Yuika is such an incredible artist! She is so good at writing lyrics, recording vocals and has a beautiful voice! We worked together on my track “Particles” and the result was amazing. Highly recommend to work with her :)
What a dedicated and creative artist Yuika is! I went running up to her before anyone else could ask about remixing 8 Minutes when she first played it for a room full of artists and producers. She is singing two of my new songs on an upcoming release and she sounds so darn great on them! Nothing but a pleasure working with Yuika and I look forward to many more collaborations in the future. Don't miss a chance to work with her now!
Interview with Yuika Abe
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Originally I drew a lot of influences in terms of my songwriting from artists such as Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple, but currently I take a lot of inspiration from countless artists and producers ranging from Mitski to Grimes to Haitus Kaiyote.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work I do for clients is topline writing, lyrics writing and vocals. I always try to let the raw ideas of my collaborators shine through while also adding in my own ideas in a way that compliments each other. What I love the most about collaborating with others is that it forces me to step out of my usual patterns of creation and explore new genres and styles. Through writing with other musicians, artists and producers I have explored and created music in countless genres including Jazz, Jpop, House, EDM, Dance, Experimental, Noise, Rock, and more. Some of my recent collaborators include: PYJAEN, SOUR, and Jordan Mcclean(System Dialling records), to name a few.
