Lyric City Studios on SoundBetter

Years of real-world performance experience, coupled with years of training others in best practices for audio production. I bring a musical omnivore's perspective to each project.

My training as a jazz pianist informs everything I do. Collaborating with artists is in my blood. I love working on boutique projects. I have engineered jazz trios, folk duos, solo chamber work, live sound, theater sound design, and movie scores. Get in touch to discuss your project, and see how I can help your vision shine through.

I am an experienced session player with fluency in a wide range of styles. I particularly enjoy adding keyboard beds to projects — add a Hammond organ pad to you song for a classic rock feel!

I have had the privilege of working on various projects as an engineer, producer, and music director. I bring a deep understanding of the recording process and couple it with impeccable musical skills.

Interview with Lyric City Studios

  1. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  2. A: My laptop, my Apollo, my Nord, and my headphones!

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: I began working in audio in high school. This early training allowed me to manage the recording studio at Skidmore College as an undergraduate, in addition to managing the music department's student recording engineers. I have been teaching music production in educational institutions for over 14-years, while producing work for professional clients.
