Session and touring bassist

Touring bassist w/ Eels since 2005 - 7 world tours, major festivals, live DVD/CDs, US & UK TV appearances. Portland-based session recording artist - work w/ producers Ron Nevison, Gus Berry, Jeff Saltzman, Steven Lee Tracy, et al. Play/record/tour w/ Ural Thomas & The Pain, Kathryn Claire, Anita Lee & The Handsome 3, Michael Dean Damron, et al.

Extremely versatile, I enjoy finding the bass line that serves the song. Happy and able to reproduce written parts, and always show up thoroughly prepared with at least a couple different sounds for each track. Very easy to get along with, a fast learner and a hard worker.
As a touring musician, I am comfortable in front of all sizes and types of audiences and in all manner of venues. I am an entertaining performer, but can also be a supportive background musician. I am also able to cover other instruments when required - check out to Eels Live At Town Hall DVD to see me play upright bass, celeste, piano, pump organ and even autoharp!
