DJ PHANTOM, the name is dark but the sound is goooood !

Hi everyones.

My name is Renaud and I am DJ PHANTOM from France.
Beatmaker, composer, live dee jay, original tv soundtrack, sound design, I also do a lot of arrangement (scratch and others).
I'm a band dee jay also and i was sold more than one million records from the start.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The original credits of the program "UN JOUR UN DESTIN" considered by the professionals of the profession to be the most beautiful credits in the French audio visual landscape. This program has been followed by more than 6 million people in France since 2007

  6. A: Jean-Marc HERBRETEAU, for his exceptional play, we have been working together for a long time and we have created a group together name "CONNECTED" (electro jazz) a sick sound ;) and it was he who introduced me to SOUND BETTER

  8. A: Analog first for sound and digital quality then for ease and speed but when you know your machines well you can make them sound how you want

  16. A: Let people believe that I can only compose hip-hop, I am a musician above all.

  18. A: I ask to listen at first and I am listening to all his requests

  20. A: I don't really have any advice to give, but talk in detail about his project so that I can answer it in detail and be happy with the result.

  24. A: I started at the age of 8 at the music concervatoir in which I did a lot of music theory, I learned to play the piano, the drums and also the cello, I started to mix on turntables (scratch and mix) at the age of 16 and actually started composing for the disc in 1999

  26. A: Generally urban because of my musical culture but since I work for television I can compose several style, raggae, pop rock, electro etc ...

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I have worked with a lot of artists until today but I would very much like to work on the original music for a big film, and have my music replayed by a synphonic orchestra

  30. A: mix your music while composing it

  32. A: Hip-Hop, Electronic music, trap, Chill, Lo fi, orchestral (piano, violon). Music for the tv with lot of vibes. Music for many artists.

  34. A: Arrangements and compositions

  36. A: Her soul.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I mainly work on orders with very precise specifications to be as close as possible to requests, whether for the record but also for the TV. Depending on my inspiration, I can start with a rhythm or a melody, the arrangements are very important for me to determine the mood of the song, I also do sound design.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work on mac with LOGIC PRO and I always work with my YAMAHA NS10, I mix live with my technic decks SL1210 MK2 and my mixer VESTAX PCM 05 PRO4 and Serato, I consider scratch as an arrangement and an instrument in its own right

  42. A: Marc Ronson, Michael Abels, Dj Premier, Pete Rock and more

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I mainly work on music for TV reports and the original credits of the TV program.
