I'm from DETROIT / MOTOWN and studied with some FUNK BROTHERS! Keyboards since the month before Woodstock (July, 1969); Saxophones since before Watergate (December, 1973). Ravi Coltrane: "You sound beautiful." Chick Corea: "You have a really good tone." Ron Carter: "I really enjoyed listening to you." Billy Cobham: "You sound great."
I can play BOTH saxophones AND keyboards (piano, synth, etc.) and consult with you on your project, so you have to hire a lot less people. I've impressed many Jazz luminaries in the last few years in New York City, but I spent most of my life in DETROIT, which grows the best musicians! I'm presently in Los Angeles. I don't sound like the average saxophone player, because I DEVELOPED MY OWN UNIQUE SOUND AND STYLE. I can play any style / type / genre you want. I play all the saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone) and wind synth. I play acoustic and digital piano and synthesizer. I originally started out as a Hammond Organ player in July, 1969. I started saxophone in 1973 and play both instruments at a virtuoso level. That's not an easy thing to do! I have a music degree and read, write and compose music. You will be very happy with my addition to your project. Hey, I produce my own music, too, and am very "fluent" in DAW (I use Presonus Studio One 4), so I know where you're coming from! Please consider me for your project! Thanks!

Interview with Saxophone Tall
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I've spent 47 years trying to play saxophone UNLIKE anybody else. Unlike most players, I don't copy my heroes. Sure, I listen to them a lot and SOME of their playing is "in" my playing, but I don't sound like them. I sound like me.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Chick Corea or Pat Metheny. Both are geniuses on the level of the great masters and have redefined their instruments and the role of same in music. Further, they continue to evolve as artists decade after decade.
