I specialize in writing bass lines for songs (bass guitar as well as some electronic) as well as reading down music as a session player. One notable bass performance was playing bass on stage with gold selling artist and hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow in Harlem. I have also tracked bass for American idol finalist Julia Gargano in recent months.
While I definitely feel extremely comfortable reading sheet music as well as recording bass tracks remotely or in a studio setting, I have a large background in music to bring to the table. I grew up playing guitar at a young age, a skill I still retain and have used on released music while working with artists. While I mention performing as a bassist with Hip-Hop legend Kurtis blow I also have extensive experience in other genres. I grew up playing jazz (and classical) extensively and continued my study of the genre (jazz) by being a paid session player at Berklee on jazz sessions as well as anything that was being recorded by students in the studio at the time.
I also have much experience in the realm of popular music and rock music having performed or recorded with The Voice contestant Delaney Silvernell (Times Union Arena) as well as American Idol top 10 finalist Julia Gargano (ep to be released soon). At Berklee I have studied both writing and production extensively as a contemporary writing and production major. I have experience mixing an producing live recordings as well as music recorded in a studio setting. I also am proficient in writing scores and am available to write vocal parts as well as instrumental parts to your demos or tracks.
