I started making music as a hobby with my friends just goofing around but now after almost 4 years now, it became my passion and I do it daily.

I'm an artist under the name - Ou. // Which stands for Open up.

Ou. is a Vision of being fully present and accepting of the present moment.
Living in Harmony with yourself, others, and everything that surrounds you.

I love every little aspect of Music. I'm a nerd when it comes to mixing I always want to get a bit better than before.

I do mostly Trap & Hip-Hop but can adapt fast to other stuff too! Lately, I bin into more cinematic and ambient music.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital: All in one Place - wherever I am. but I must admit - Analog warmth over everything...
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The small details, like tweaking & fine-tuning... seeing a song come to life like a little child growing up... like a flower blooming.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Well, I can correct and fix many things but if you recorded a guitar take that sounds like a squirrel breakdancing on the strings, then I'm definitely not able to fix that - I'm sorry ^^
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What feeling do you want to track to represent, what was going through your head while making it, what did you feel when you recorded it? Do you have a clear vision of where this track should go? Do you have a Picture or even a whole film in your head when you listen? Where does it take place?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Peanutbutter jars... a lot of them... I'm not addicted... maybe?

A: Dark, Epic, mystical, Cinematic, In your face, hard and emotional

A: Getter, Aries & Brakence. They helped me without saying a word to me... without physically being near me, yet they managed to help me process pain that no other could have helped me through - their pieces will forever have a place in my heart
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Tips are useless... they make you believe you have to apply them to your track/production when in reality you did just fine and needed your own ears to listen more attentively.
