When approaching a song, and upon receiving the track, the first thing I always ask my clients is "what emotion or message are they trying to portrait in this song"? Its always important to know what you're trying to say. But for me (as the writer) it also helps dictate what type of melodies and cadences that I will implement as a writer. Particular melodies help further express a message beyond words. As a songwriter one of my strong suits is being able to convey a given message or emotion in a clever way but also make it digestible so the average listener can comprehend and fully understand what is being said. Along with the message it's important that it is delivered in a way that makes people want to sing it. Melody choice is a strong suit of mine as well. When listeners think back on a song, the melody is always the first thing that comes to mind, so having a strong melody is very key when putting together a song. Lastly, my ability to deliver a finished product in a timely fashion is second to none. Majority of my jobs have a 24hr turn around. Time is very important especially from my experiences in the industry, rather that be working on albums, syncs for television shows, or soundtracks for films. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Im blessed to have been apart of some amazing shows and albums. So to prioritize one over the other is hard for me. Im beyond blessed to do what I absolutely love consistency on a high level..
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Im working on various artist projects, as well as companies like FOX, STARZ, and HBO for tv syncs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Quality analog. For the aspect of time saving, digital.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We will always create great music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The different energies I get to interact with. I love interacting with people and hearing about their journeys, and God willing, be able to be apart of their climb to success.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What is it like working with big artist? Its no different, the love, passion, and excitement they get when they find a song they love is just like yours. Because there is no feeling like when you're working on something that you want to share with others.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that the songwriting aspect is easy. Yes anyone CAN write a song, but not everyone is a SONGWRITER. Alot of the attention goes to the artist and producers (no disrespect to them), but it is the melody and lyrics that get stuck in everyones heads.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always want to know what type of feelings, situations, and emotions are they currently feeling.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just be ready to work. Always address individuals on their energy and not their resume.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would take my Mac, headphones, mic, interface, and (I know its not gear but just as vital) SAGE.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Id describe my style as a fresh, original, yet modern and familiar.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I love Stevie Wonder. The way he was able to structure his records, the way his melodies and notes married with the music (that he played and structured as well) was pure brilliance.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Create from a place to express not to impress.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I truly enjoy working on any genre.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is creating music!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring original, tasteful, modern melodies that match the style of the record. Also a pen that is ALWAYS clever with word play and schemes, but also hard to match lyrically.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually the client sends me over a record, and a brief (if any) explanation of what they would like the record to be about or feel like.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I not only have a in home studio, I also have multiple studios I work out of as I travel.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: To be honest im inspired by ANY and EVERY type of music. When I hear music, no matter the genre, I listen for (sounds, melodies, vocal performance, structuring, production, etc.) that I feel I can incorporate into my sound.

A: I provide melody, top-line and record structuring.
