Matt Movin on SoundBetter

My work will speak for itself

Chattanooga, Tennessee Native Matt Movin is an American Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, & Recording Artist. He began rapping at the age of 12, writing by 13, and in pursuit of a dream by 15 releasing his first project "Both $ides of Tha Dollar." While the album didn't garner any attention from majors, it propelled him to local "emcee status" within his hometown and even in surrounding areas. Present day, Movin is a fearless performer with a one of a kind unique sound that has to be heard to be appreciated, though it can best be characterized as a gritty, raspy, lyrical ride combined with an angelic yet tuneful touch. His subject matter ranges from poverty, depression, incarceration, heartbreak, success, and autobiographical confessional-like masterpieces. He has opened for a plethora of major artists including Rocko, Project Pat, Yelawolf, & more recently Rising Memphis Rappers Kevo Muney, & Big Boogie. He retains an impeccable undefeated battle rap record, and continues to ghostwrite for many major, as well as up and coming anonymous artists. He is the creator, founder, co-owner, and operator of his own impressively successful independent collective “Round Table Affiliation” (a knod to King Arthur’s carefully chose Knights) He is a unique breath of raw fresh air in a world full of congested and seemingly stagnant repetition acts. Matt Movin always delivers without fault.
