I am a dreamer cursed with the determination of a perfectionist.
Hi, my name is Matteo and I am the founder and chief sound engineer at Soundream Studios in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy.
Music has been a lifelong passion of mine.
After 17 years spent learning several musical instruments, at the age of 20 I realised there was nothing on the academic curriculum that could help me achieve my goals. As a consequence I skipped University and focused on honing my skills in Sound Engineering and cultivate a keen musical ear directly on the field.
Since 2011 I worked as an assistant in various recording studios around Italy where I had the privilege of learning the craft from some of the most acclaimed professionals in the business. Meanwhile I became proficient at Luthiering and gained competence in all things electronics, acoustics and soundproofing. I never limited myself to one field of expertise.
Three years ago I opened Soundream Studio, deep down in the Sardinian countryside. In time I managed to buy the equipment of my dreams (SSL4000G+, Amek Mozart Neve, top monitors, mics and outboard), and had the experts at Sound Service Studio sound design my mixing room for the best sonic response.
I am a producer, mixing & mastering sound engineer.
If you think you deserve the best, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
