Singing professionally as a back up singer with Working Class Husseys and The Shul Band, I am a master at blending and fitting to the song's needs. As a vocalist, I specialize in world music (Russian, Hebrew, Yiddish, French, Spanish). My intimate and soulful chest voice and smooth, pure upper register is especially suited for jazz, acoustic folk, electro pop and r&b soul. I take a holistic approach to new projects, getting to know the client, your unique style and the theme of the material so I can deliver the most emotionally impactful performance.

With a love for sincere, universal, irreverent and detailed storytelling and vintage hook driven melodies, my songwriting influences range from The Beatles and Carole King to Coldplay and Taylor Swift. Having studied acting at NYU Tisch and the Moscow Art Theatre School, I approach songs as monologues, imbuing my vocal delivery and songwriting with urgency, purpose and a compelling emotional arch. Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just recorded vocals for Project Kesher's version of Debbie Friedman's Miriam Song and it's been great to receive personal messages about how uplifted people feel listening to the song.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I like to record multiple vocal tracks to create a stereo sound.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: With my acting background, I work from the inside out, feeling the arc and emotional journey of the story/lead vocals and can adapt to different emotions and moods.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love authentic artists and voices with classic songwriting chops like Norah Jones, Kate Bush, David Bowie, Sharon Van Ettan etc...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most often, I get hired to sing lead vocal on existing tracks or write and sing topline for producers.
