I am a singer, songwriter, and top line artist living in Brooklyn, New York. I have experience as a vocalist and songwriter, creating content for a variety of genres including pop, rock, and soul. My song catalog has garnered over 100 song placements so far, spanning many musical formats for artists, television, film and commercial.

Clara graduated from Berklee College of Music before she turned pro as an artist and songwriter, performing and touring throughout the world. Winner of 6 Toronto Music Awards and numerous nominations in both the U.S. and Canada, she has also won first place during Toronto's Indie week, walking away with a distribution deal with the Universal Music. She's shared the stage with Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, Kimberly Locke, and Jeffrey Gaines, among others and was the featured vocalist in the Disney Super Bowl commercial "When You Wish Upon a Star".

Lofaro’s current EP release OTHER SIDE (Sept 2015) follows her 2014 “Air Lift Me” EP release, which includes the Billboard Club smash "Born To Love You”.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't go by names and gear. Connect personally and listen to examples of their work that fit what you are going for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My cell phone because I could use it to write and record, my piano, my laptop, my mic, audio work station.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would LOVE to write a song with Patty Griffin. Her emotional, vulnerable songwriting and singing captivates me. It's not trying to be anything. It just is what it is and what it is is great.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. Start with the elements that feel the strongest as opposed to creating a ton of ideas/parts and sifting them out.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Every week I am hired to sing in various styles from jazz to rock n roll, pop, r&b, soul and rock.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am lucky to be based in New York and work with some of the city's finest musicians and sound designers. Some writers and singers I admire are Annie Lennox, Paul Simon, The Wood Brothers, Patty Griffin, John Legend, Sia, Punch Brothers, Bonnie Raitt...the list is endless.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My greatest joy and goal is to bring a client's, (a.k.a. artist's) vision to life. The things I specialize in are making their lead vocal and hook stand out with backup vocals that shape the song and add dimension to it, writing a song that tells their story in the voice, style and perspective they are going for, writing a melody and lyric that lifts and brings the music track to life, and mastering the vocal sound a client is looking for in their song either by singing it myself or producing a singer's vocals in the studio. There is nothing that makes me happier than when a client's vision is realized in the music and support I can supply for them.
