Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I don't believe in adding any type of additional production to my clients music. I like to take what the artist created and give them the best polished version of their art.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process when it comes to mixing is listening to the song first before touching anything. I talk to the artist to see what type of mix they are looking for which can range from a pop mix, vintage mix, boomy mix etc. But all mixes typically begin the same way with a static mix & no processing. Once levels are balanced we start applying the necessary processing such as EQ, Compression, etc.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup is quite simple I like to take the minimalist approach. I currently mix with KRK Rokits; I've been using KRK for 12 years and have gotten to know how mixes will translate in other systems. I currently use a Focusrite Scarlett interface; The A to D Converters are great and allow me to get the most of my KRKs. In addition I like to use a PreSonus Faderport 8 to help me mix when I need automation. Its easy and makes my workflow faster to help me accomplish my mix goals.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Some of my favorite artist are Justin Timberlake, Jack White, Timbaland, 50 Cent, Eminem, Dr. Dre. These are artist I listen to and study when it comes to production and mixing. Some of my favorite engineers include Chris Godbey, Vance Powel, Manny Manny Marroquin, Andy Meyer, Ken Van Pooch

A: -Live Sound Front of House Mixing -Mixing & Mastering -Audio Editing for Video
