My name is Raphaël Angelini and I am an full-time pianist, keyboardist, producer, composer and teacher, based in Belgium. I will record professional piano and keyboards for your project (high-quality audio files of ready-to-use, professional-quality work, mixing and mastering).

I have played piano for over 20 years and have worked as a professional pianist/keyboardist in wide variety of genre, most prominently as a session musician.

I am classically trained and have a master degree in classical piano performance. I have hundreds of pro gigs worth of experience and I'm 'm thrilled to provide these professional services here on Soundbetter.

SHORT BIO

In 2007, Raphaël Angelini launches a label of independent music with friends : "Promania Asbl". Under this label, he recorded his first album Prémices. The single "Les chevaliers de la Gaudriole" quickly became popular on the Internet and got nominated in 2009 at the JPF Music Awards of Nashville (USA), as "best European song".

Raphaël has recently created his own music label ("Resist") to produce the digital version of his latest album "Instant Zéro", released in 2013. He regularly writes short stories, poems and musical biographies. He also teaches piano in several music schools.

I was in need of a piece that was reminiscent of Satie for a podcast I'm helping create and Raphael's demos really "hit the nail on the head" with regards to that style.

As an individual with a musical background I was able to compose a basic chords chart. But my technique is lacking, and Raphael who is a much more advanced piano player was able to really translate this chord chart into a piece that was exactly what I was looking for. Looking forward to working with Raphael in the future!

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: - Acoustic grand piano Yamaha C6 (Paulello’s wires & composite materials) with a stereo pair of AKG 451 B mics and QUADMIC RME mic pre-amp, in a studio treated with acoustic panels (GIK ACOUSTICS). - 2 additional mics : Shure SM 57 (resonance) & Audix D6 (outstanding at reproducing especially low frequencies). - NORD STAGE 2 digital piano. MIDI recording can be provided, using various sampled pianos (acoustic piano, electric piano, organ or any other synth). - Audio interface: FIREFACE UC RME - Computer: Mac Book Pro - DAW: Logic PRO with the best of music production plugins (Soundtoys, Waves audio, Sonible, Hofa, Softube,...).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording acoustic and digital piano for songs, short films, documentaries and advertisements.

A: I have 20+ years of work experience as pianist (live performance, improvisation, writing and arrangement).

A: Music is my life. I do what I love and I get paid for it. Amazing, isn't it?

A: Classical Crossover. This genre is not purely classical, it integrates element of classical music into popular music and vice versa.
