Burntsystems is the pseudonym created in the early 1990's by electronic musician Christian V. Born Heidelberg West Germany to a Norwegian Mother and his father an Army Chopper pilot from Bronx NYC brought up on rap, new wave, European Goth, techno & industrial, his sister’s disco back in the late 70’s, 80's pop and Old School Rap. Like that sampler from Radio shack got on layaway when just 11 years old. My Dad who rocked out every night on an acoustic guitar-singing Nitty Gritty, classic 50’s bands and his own Rockabilly. A Norwegian uncle playing piano and singing his head off every summer from ages 1-10. Reel to reel listening of my famous Grandfathers Norwegian Opera prior to WW2. Mom’s church choir practice live from ages 0-33 My influences are deep and diverse.
I was destined to become a singer/songwriter. Taught classical violin, piano in grade school and on choir team. Influenced by mother’s love of classical and opera, father’s classic rock, sisters Disco, neighborhood Rap, Euro-techno, Philly electro, D.C.’s hip hop/go-go (Attended break dance battles in the 80’s ) Boston’s rave, Chicago House, L.A.’s happy hardcore & rap, goa, Goldie’s jungle, Cosmic Baby trance, Moby’s punk, gothic metal (SOM-Die Krupp’s, Die Form Deine Lakaien), Metallica, Iron Maiden metal, ambient, Enya (ORB), acid jazz, electro clash, Johnny Cash.
