Interview with Bliss IzGood

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: I will let destiny do its magic ;)

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Let the track dictate what it needs, and keep it simple

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Various types: Hip Hop, R&b, Reggaeton, Acoustic guitar and vocal, EDM, Reggae

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: I mix with a hybrid set up: I start in the box using a Prism Sound Titan combined with a Pure 2 AD/DA, and go through my analog chain (which includes various compressors , EQs, and miscellaneous gear) while listening through Genelec speakers. For mixing I usually use Protools or Ableton.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: Listening for subtle elements, and enhancing tracks

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: If a mix job, I try to enhance the material, and work with what's there. If I need to add some elements to the song/track, I always want to complement what's there

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: If its a mix process, I load it into protools, listen to the track a few times and get going. If the song needs additional production, then I would choose Ableton. Either way I try to keep the emotion of the song alive.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: Producers such as Dr Dre, the Neptunes, Timbaland and others have influenced me a lot. Mix engineer size I have to go with Jaycen Joshua, Manny Marroquin, and Andrew Schepps

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: The most common are: producing and mixing songs
